Our Crazy Life

Life is crazy sometimes. It’s busy, it’s messy, and it’s not always easy. There are so many things screaming at us for our attention. It is difficult at times to keep it all together and more importantly, it’s hard to find time for God. So with all the things that are seeking your attention, why not intentionally take some time out from those things to spend time with God?

Here are just a couple of reasons why we all should cut through the busyness of life, spend time with God and get to know Him.

1.      God went out of His way to know you.
This is huge. God had no need to know you or me, but He wanted to. He wanted to in such a bad way that He gave His only son Jesus to pay the penalty for our sin, so we could know Him. If God gave all He had so He could know us, then shouldn’t we put a priority on spending some time getting to know Him better?

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” – John 3:16

2.       God wants you to have an abundant life.
God didn’t want a relationship with you to stop you enjoying life. Many people believe that if you live for God it means you can’t have fun. That you have to turn in all your fun if you really follow after God and live a boring, rule-filled life. That is simply not the case. Living for God will bring a new level of abundance to your life.

“The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” – John 10:10

3.      God is always ready for you.
God is not like many people in your life. He is never too busy to hear from you. He doesn’t think your problems and challenges are too small for Him. God won’t put you off, or not accept you. God loves it when you come to Him. He wants to know you and for you to spend time getting to know Him.

All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out.” – John 6:37

Your relationship with God is the most important relationship in your life. Choose to put a priority on knowing God and making that relationship matter for eternity.
