God Is With You

How times have changed. It wasn’t too many years ago that mobile phones didn’t even exist, nowadays everyone has one.

Have you caught a train lately or sat in a café?  Pretty much 95% of people are on their mobile phones.  Would you ever think of leaving home without your phone?  Just stop and think about it – all the technology of calling, messaging, emails, apps, music, etc. in the palm of your hand?  It is mind blowing.  So…going out without your mobile phone is completely unthinkable!  It goes something like this for me: wallet, keys and phone.

It says in Proverbs 15:3…’The eyes of the Lord are in every place, keeping watch on the evil and the good.’

I would like to throw it out there that God is everywhere, He is watching over us wherever we go, keeping His eyes on everything we do - good and bad.  Sobering thought.  Do we really stop and think that God is with us all the time?  When we go out, could we manage to leave Him behind?  We know He’s with us, but we can behave at times as though His is not.

God wants to be in every part of our lives, through the good times and the bad.  The truth is, unlike your mobile phone, you simply can’t leave God behind.  Why would you want to?  All His love, His power, His grace, His mercy, His comfort and the peace He gives … they’re all here with you, right now, in this moment, and always will be.

Isn’t it unthinkable that we could leave God behind?  Please, every time you step outside to leave home let’s make it:  God, wallet, keys and phone.
