Within The Veil
As a church, we have been on a journey through the Tabernacle of Moses. Every stop we made along the way, looking at the various pieces of furniture within the Tabernacle, pointed to Jesus and the wonderful sacrifice He made for all of us.
We stepped ‘within the veil’, into the Holy of Holies where the presence of God dwelt. What we found was the Ark of the Covenant which contained manna, Aaron’s budded rod and two stone tablets (the ten commandments). These were placed in the Ark as a reminder for the Israelites of their rejection of God’s provision, authority and a right standard of living. Pretty basic items yet with such a powerful meaning.
As innocent blood was shed and placed on the atonement cover of the Ark, God looked down and saw the blood, not the three items in the Ark which represented the sinfulness of the children of Israel. The blood covered their sin.
Jesus has done that for you and for me – when His innocent blood was shed on the cross, He covered our sin. God looks at us through the sacrifice that Jesus made. He sees us as ones who are redeemed – it is a finished and completed work! I pray that you are able to accept Jesus today and be thankful for the provision He has made for you, for His authority in your life and choose to live according to His commandments. John 14:15 says…If you love Me, keep My commandments.
Be blessed as you enter this special Easter period, as we celebrate and remember all Jesus has done for us.
