He Has Your Number

Especially at this time of year it is important to surround yourself with friends and family, those that love you.  At times we can feel lost and alone and desperate to feel loved.  These feelings are not from God as He wants you to know that you are loved.

No matter where you are, what you are feeling, whatever situation you find yourself in – God has your number.  He knows and sees where you are at.  All we need to do is call out to Him and He will answer.

We heard a great message on Sunday from Ps Graham McMechan who spoke on being carried on eagle wings.  The strength of the eagle is truly amazing, its eyesight sharp and clear and the love and care for the young is a great example to us all.

Deuteronomy 32:10-12 says…He found him in a desert land and in the wasteland, a howling wilderness; He encircled him, He instructed him, He kept him as the apple of His eye. As an eagle stirs up its nest, hovers over its young, spreading out its wings, taking them up, carrying them on its wings, So the Lord alone led him, And there was no foreign god with him.

You may find yourself in the desert, dry and thirsty, or trapped in a wasteland where nothing seems to grow.  You may be surrounded by a howling wind that keeps buffeting you.  Through these times, God is very present.  He has your number, He knows where you are and wants you to allow Him to encircle and embrace you.  Will you allow Him to do that?

An eagle stirs up the nest to get the young out and ready to fly.  I am sure the eaglets didn’t think they were ready, didn’t want to leave the comfort of the nest, but the time comes when we all need to learn how to fly.

Is the Lord asking you or stirring you up to get you out of the nest?  Is He calling you out of the desert, wasteland and wilderness to prepare you to fly?  Do not be afraid.  The Lord will take you up on His wings and carry you through. He alone is the one that will lead you. There is none like Him. Get ready to fly!

May you have a blessed Christmas and a wonderful New Year as you encounter God’s amazing love and be carried on eagle wings.
