CityWide Community Church has a strong interest in reaching people around the world which has taken members to places like Myanmar, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mozambique, Vanuatu, Philippines and soon Germany.
Our Church has been financially supporting long term Mozambique missionaries, Peter & Debbie Wilcox for many years. It has been amazing to follow their journey, and that of their grown children as they impact this needy region for Christ. They have most recently been called to Mexico to teach and minister in a Missionary Training School.
Recently one of our young adults, Jordan Olney embarked on a mid-term missions trip to Africa. Having spent two-months at a missionary training school in Pemba, Mozambique with Iris Ministries in October/November 2017 he then served for eleven months with Pioneer61. The Healing Homes rescue the homeless, the broken, the poor, child slaves and children prostituted as sex slaves. Jordan was the Assistant to the President/Director of Pioneer61 and some of his tasks included leading the Bible study group for the boys from the Healing Home and the workers on the base, helping with office administration and running errands in town.
Home for a couple of months over Christmas 2018 Jordan headed out again in February 2019 for twelve months training in Europe to then start church planting in 2020. This is truly a exciting time and we can not wait to see the journey that God takes Jordan on.
We would love you to partner with him in prayer as he serves God and sees lives being changed, transformed and impacted through the love of Jesus. You can stay in contact with him at firstname.lastname@example.org. If you would like to support Jordan financially, you can direct deposit via PayPal: paypal.me/JordanOlney.
Jordan was interviewed by Vision Radio in November 18 sharing his first mission adventure. To listen click below.
Our next missioner to be is Wendy Bytheway who is preparing to leave for Germany in August 2019. With a long interest in missions after several trips to China, Wendy is preparing to teach English at Black Forest Academy in Kandern, Germany.
Black Forest Academy is an international Christian boarding school providing education for missionary kids. As a missionary parents are often faced with many obstacles including the education of their children, making the difficult decision to send their children to a boarding school like Black Forest Academy which will provide them with a safe and well rounded education.
To reduce the high cost of boarding, all staff at Black Forest Academy are volunteers, so Wendy has been working hard over the last 12 months to raise her own support to fund her mission trip through her sending agency Wycliffe Australia. She is still fundraising and if you would like to partner with her in finances or prayer please contact her by clicking here.
